Carson Contamination Kills

Carson Contamination Kills

In an attempt to honor our true purpose and history and to protect the health and well-being of all life in the South Bay we are working to identify and document everyone that has been affected with disease from Carson’s Contamination. We would also like to identify all homes with new cracks in foundation, sidewalks and/or streets, flooding, plumbing issues, or liquid leaking on your property that may be caused by construction in Carson.
It would seem we need to contain the contamination and we should examine what should go on our contaminated land. I say our contaminated land because this administration purchased that land, resold it, but maintained responsibility and liability for the contamination for Carson. We are a densely populated community and taking the risk of pounding in 2,300 piles in the least contaminated area without dealing with the contamination puts all of us at unnecessary risk.

Deception
Each decade since the 70’s contamination was discovered entering the environment and each instance was covered up with a super mall or football team. Once again, we have a super mall, this time are they covering up the dangers of this work?
Just as they tell us the sound levels are safe they will tell us the toxins did not reach the people. The diseases that plague our community tells us different.

Cal Compact Mall Presentation May 7 2019 sound and vibration

May 7, 2019 during a presentation on the Cal Compact construction project it was reported the sound of the pounding of piles is not ever to exceed 60 decibels and has not exceed 55 decibels at the site.

Below are videos of 4 different locations the only one that did not exceed the stated 55 decibels is 4 miles from the site, the 3 others all exceeded the limit of 60 decibels.
Pounding Home Back Yard
May 15, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. the reading
from my back yard which is just under
4 miles from the site the sound went as
high as  54.9 decibels.
Pounding Mall
May 14, 2019 at 10:45 a.m. taken from the parking lot at the mall approximately 1,500 feet from the site the sound reached 61.7 decibels.

Pounding Office
May 14, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Reading taking
from the parking lot of an office building
approximately 1,000 feet from the site the
sound reached as high as 68.9 decibels.
Pounding Site
May 14, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. across the 405 freeway approximately 500 feet from the site the sound reached 69 decibels.
Carson Contaminants
Below is a list of some of the contaminants that have been released into the environment, and was detected in the soil, groundwater, and/or air from the Cal Compact Landfill:
1,2-dichlorethane (1,2-DCA)
Alpha-BHC
Antimony
Benzene
Benzo(a)anthracene
Benzo(b)fluoranthene
Beryllium
Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate)
Ethylbenzene
Tetrachloroethylene (PCE)
Toluene
Trichlorethene (TCE)
Vinyl Chloride
Xylenes
Cover Up
In September 2018 and March 2019 the Department of Toxic Substances Control sent out a letter to notify the surrounding community of Remedial Field Work at the Cal Compact Landfill. It is not warning of any danger of toxins being accidentally released. It doesn’t tell us it may cause cracks in our foundation allowing toxic gases to be released. It doesn’t tell us how being exposed to the chemicals and/or the pounding alone can cause us to lose hearing or that the two together puts us at a greater risk. It has no warning of what to do if you think you may have come in contact with or contracted a disease from their activities in contaminated land. It does however tell us we can get the project documents at Carson Regional Library. Carson Library is working out of trailers in the parking lot and are calling it an express library. I called the library and the woman who answered the phone put me on hold while she located the documents. She came back on the line and told me she did not have them, maybe they are in a box, maybe they sent them back.
Warnings?
Did you receive any warning in the past 50 years that hazardous substances from the Cal Compact site had entered the environment? Anyone warn you to close your windows or drink bottled water? No, here in Carson instead of telling us what horrific diseases they have subjected us to they tell us a new mall or football team is coming. Time and time again after years of moving, digging, and covering up the contamination, they have exposed us to a life of suffering.
Benzene is one of the most dangerous contaminants we have been exposed to. It wouldn’t have been so bad if they didn’t disturb the contaminated land by digging, drilling, and pounding piles in more than 60 feet, all that can release gases such a benzine. A lot has been done but not enough, and the evidence of that is we have people suffering every day with symptoms and illnesses. For many unless you know what you have been exposed to or your symptoms have turned into a full blown disease it can take your doctor years to diagnosed. We have Carson residents that have passed away just weeks of being diagnosed with cancer, and others that have spent 10 years battling cancer, managed to get it into remission only to have it reoccur.
The people representing the State of California, Los Angeles County, the corporations, and the City of Carson have decided to make our generation pay the price of getting a mall built on that contaminated land. They decided to go ahead with building on contaminated land without taking on the expense of protecting the people in the surrounding communities.
We’ve identified some of the toxins released into the soil, air and/or groundwater. We’ve also identified some symptoms associated with these toxins such as difficulty breathing, elevated heart rate, chest pain, anxiety, fatigue, dizziness, impaired short term memory, inability to concentrate, and skin irritation and illnesses such as Autism, Breast Cancer, Lymphoma, Cardiac Arrhythmia, Spontaneous Abortions, Tinnitus and many more.
Take a look at the survey and see if you have any of the many symptoms and/or illnesses.
The October 2015 Porter Ranch gas leak was widely publicized Food & Water Watch took the lead working to protect the people. Doctor’s offices were setup to assist and document symptoms and illnesses. In fact, it was announced on August 8, 2018 a settlement of $119.5 million had been reached. Where is Carson’s settlements?
Could it be the people in office are not in any way representing the people of Carson. Each time the property was deemed to be contaminating our environment it had a private owner which by federal law was responsible for any environment catastrophe. Instead we were told about some great project as the ownership changed hands. Los Angeles County was deemed responsible for the cleanup of that site, but Carson is footing the bill. Are our elected officials representing the Carson residents the same way Porter Ranch is being represented?

I live off of 223rd and Edgar and I have small cracks in my walls and a good size crack in the cement floor of my garage floor. I always wondered on the real cause.

I live in Scottsdale townhouse for over 15 years and I’ve always wondered about the foul smell in the water. Sometimes it smells like ammonia and sometimes it smells like rotten eggs. Sometimes it smells normal. Also during summer when it’s extremely hot you can smell petroleum when crossing the street on Avalon and Scottsdale on one side of the street. Within the past few years I’ve developed skin irrigation because of all the pollution.
