In 2006, Little Al embarked on one of his biggest adventures: He tried to topple the entrenched leadership of the small industrial stronghold of Vernon. There were only about 100 hand-picked residents there, and the city hadn’t had an election in a quarter-century. When a fired Vernon city attorney asked for his help, Robles took up his cause, which involved moving three men into an abandoned building in the tiny city so they could register to run for council seats.

There seems to be many serious reasons for one to be greatly concerned about the conduct of Albert Robles who currently sits on the City of Carson City Council. At a recent Carson City Council Meeting, with a near full house of Carson citizens who were worried about the possibility of the City Council firing their City Attorney William Wynder Mr. Robles and Mayor Jim Dear said that they were only holding an “employee evaluation” of william Wynder and nothing else. Ya right! And after our City Council fired our City Manager last June during an “employee evaluation” now we the citizens are supposed to believe Mayor Dear and Albert Robles when they say to us, “oh it’s just and employee evaluation”. I know Jim Dear and Albert Robles well enough NOT to trust ANYTHING that either of them say. Albert Robles became so incensed at that council meeting that he said right on tape to the audience, “some of you are just liars”! That statement was caught on tape and now Robles has the audacity to claim that he didn’t say that.

The City of Carson will not be able to rid itself of corruption in our government until we rid ourselves of Mayor Jim Dear and Councilman Albert Robles. With two past Carson Mayor’s having just been released from prison for corruption in Carson City Government, it would not surprise me if the FBI, County of Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and the California Secretary of State’s Office do not get a warrant for both of their arrest. Let’s just see what tomorrow brings!

Might the fact that Bill Wynder is no longer serving as city attorney might have something to do with his name appearing in a discrimination case against the city? Since city officials can’t comment on a lawsuit against the city, that may explain why they don’t explain why Wynder is no longer the city attorney.
